AiPrepCert ("we," "our," or "us") operates mobile applications and the website aiprepcert.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our applications and services.

By using our apps or website, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Account Information: When you create an account, we may collect your email address, display name, and profile picture.
  • Subscription Information: If you purchase a Premium subscription, payment processing is handled by Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not directly collect or store your payment card details.
  • Support Communications: When you contact us for support, we collect the information you provide in your message, including your email address and the content of your inquiry.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the app, including study sessions, quiz scores, questions answered, and feature usage. This data helps us improve the learning experience.
  • Device Information: We may collect device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
  • Log Data: Our servers automatically record information such as your IP address, access times, app version, and crash reports.

We use the information we collect to:

3. Data Storage

Your study data (quiz scores, wrong answers, progress) is stored both locally on your device and in our cloud infrastructure to enable syncing across devices. Cloud data is stored on secure servers with encryption at rest and in transit.

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes described in this policy. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, unless we are required to retain it for legal obligations.

Our apps use the following third-party services that may collect information:

  • Firebase (Google): We use Firebase for authentication, cloud storage, analytics, and crash reporting. Firebase may collect device identifiers, usage data, and crash logs. See Firebase Privacy Policy.
  • Apple App Store / Google Play Store: Subscription purchases and payments are processed through the respective app stores. Their privacy policies apply to payment processing.
  • Analytics Services: We use analytics tools to understand app usage and improve our services. These tools collect aggregated, anonymized usage data.
  • AI Services: Our AI tutoring features may process your questions through AI service providers. We do not share personally identifiable information with these providers; only the content of your learning queries is transmitted.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), we process your personal data based on the following legal grounds:

  • Legitimate Interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): Processing necessary for our legitimate interests, such as improving our apps, ensuring security, preventing fraud, and conducting anonymized analytics. We balance these interests against your rights and freedoms.
  • Legal Obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): Processing necessary to comply with applicable laws, such as tax regulations or responding to lawful requests from public authorities.

Your personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including the United States, where our servers and service providers are located. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country.

  • Transfers to countries with an adequacy decision from the European Commission
